PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Public participation is included on every parish council agenda at the beginning of the meeting, this is an opportunity for any resident to come along to the meeting and raise any issue, relative to the parish of Ottringham and/or included on the agenda for the meeting, directly with parish council members.  If there is anything at all that you would like to discuss please come along, you are very welcome!

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SOUTH END ROAD, OTTRINGHAM (PART) Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along South End Road, Ottringham (BETWEEN ‘Hedgewich’ [7 South Side Villas] AND ‘Fernlea’ [27 South End Road]) commencing 15 July 2024 to allow electrical works to be carried out by OCU Group on behalf of NPG (Northern Powergrid). The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 August 2024. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: South End Road, Sunk Island Road, New Road, Station Road, Chapel Lane and South End Road, Ottringham. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for residents, the emergency services and pedestrians.
